Children of low-income parents are much less likely to engage in enrichment activities like summer camps or museum visits compared to their wealthier peers, according to a new report from the National Center for Education Statistics. The data show that parents at all income levels are more likely to spend money on extracurricular education than 20 years ago, but the wealthiest families have accelerated their spending, fueling the gap.
