A new brief from Ascend and the Urban Institute gives policy recommendations on how housing organizations can better serve families with low incomes by addressing the needs of both children and parents. The recommendations include forming partnerships between housing agencies and other social service providers; engaging residents in designing support programs; and engaging early childhood and K-12 systems to increase low-income families’ engagement and attendance.
