Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond
is the Charles E. Ducommun professor of education at Stanford University where she launched the
School Redesign Network
and
co-founded the
Stanford Center for Opportunity Policy in Education.
. She is a former president of the American Research Association and member of the National Academy of Education. Earlier in the year, Dr. Hammond led the education transition team for the Obama administration.
